Modesty Guidelines
We uphold a standard of modesty that reflects a set-apart and respectful environment. While we are not here to police appearances, all attendees are expected to avoid clothing that is overly revealing, tight, or distracting.
Examples of attire that are not permitted include:
- Tight-fitting clothing that reveals or outlines the body in a suggestive way
- See-through or sheer garments
- Low-cut tops or necklines that expose the chest area
- Clothing that exposes undergarments or is excessively revealing
- Dresses or skirts that are excessively short
- Spaghetti straps or sleeveless tops without appropriate covering
Attendees are encouraged to dress in a way that reflects modesty, respect, and consideration for others in a shared, set-apart environment.
1 Peter 5:5-6
1 Peter 5:5-6 Likewise, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. Clothe yourselves, all of you, with humility toward one another, for “YAH opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of YAH so that at the proper time he may exalt you.
Exodus 20:26
And do not go up to my altar on steps, or your private parts may be exposed.
Galatians 5:13
For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.
