Come Prepared: Conference Essentials to Bring
“From Two Sticks to One “
The Great Awakening International Mega Conference is a full and meaningful experience.
As individuals and families gather from across the country, this time together reflects the coming together of the two sticks—uniting people in shared identity, purpose, and direction.
From participating in sessions and forums to connecting with others and taking part in special events, there will be many opportunities to build relationships and create lasting memories.
With so much taking place throughout the week, preparation and planning are important. Below are a few reminders and helpful tips to help ensure a safe, smooth, and enjoyable conference experience.
List of Items
- Bible (any translation is welcome), notebook, and pen/pencil. Commonly used versions include the Cepher, HalleluYah Scriptures, the Scriptures, and KJV.
- Business cards or materials to share. If you have a ministry, assembly, or business, bring flyers, newsletters, or cards to connect with others.
- Comfortable clothing and shoes.
- Dress casually and come prepared for walking. T-shirts, jeans, and tennis shoes are appropriate for most activities.
- Light jacket or sweater (Some indoor areas may be cool due to air conditioning).
- Sunglasses and sunscreen.
- While some activities are indoors, you will be outside at times, and the weather can be hot.
- Personal hygiene essentials.
- Bring small items such as a brush, makeup, deodorant, or hand sanitizer to freshen up throughout the day, especially if you won’t be returning to your hotel/room between sessions and evening events.
- Phone charger and/or portable battery (You’ll likely be using your devices throughout the day, so come prepared).
- Medication and insurance card (Bring any necessary medications and a copy of your insurance card. Please notify staff if you may need assistance.).
- Additional personal items.
- Such as toiletries, an alarm clock, spending money, a camera, and shower essentials.
- Shofar (If you own a shofar, you are encouraged to bring it for special moments during the conference).
- Come prepared with a good attitude, plenty of energy, and enough clothing for the duration of your stay.
